As of 2008, school students who refuse to attend school are registered at more than half of all public elementary and junior high schools. This article is based on an investigation of the lifestyles and psychological condition of these students, necessary for teachers to deal effectively with the situation. I also carried out a fact-finding study of the parents\u27 feelings. Based on the results of these investigations, I suggest nine ways in which we can deal with these students who refuse to attend school
