This study is concerned with on a standard design of elementary school by wood-frame construction method, and its corresponding construction method. The purpose is to adopt environmental adjustment techniques which account for the indoor lighting and thermal environment. In the model plan, to provide a dual-layer wall arranged on the outer-wall side with the structural strength necessary to support a three-story school building, with buffering space between the walls.
