This paper is a report on the earthquake damages caused by the Great Hanashin-Awaji Earthquake, January 17, 1995. This is made by author\u27s many times reconnaissance survey after the great quake. In this paper, authors shows two themes: one of them is a statistical analysis on the damaged non wooden buildings with 3 floors more in a severe damaged zone. Another is a very special phenomenon discovered by authors that various type damages happened on some parallel line
