The purpose of this short paper is to review articles or data on homelessness to grasp what it is and its status quo in Australia, including various allied problems. In this short paper, the definitions of homelessness and the related notion of home are reviewed at first because it is important to find the meaning and difference for development in understanding of and gaining an insight into the homelessness. After that, the present situations or characteristics of homelessness and its problems in Australia are stated in brief. There are a great number of peopl eexperiencing homelessness in the urban and rural areas in the world, while the problems need to be solved with care of who is homeless according to the definition
