Vertebrates preyed by the burrowing owl (<i>Athene cunicularia</i>) in somuncurá plateau (Río Negro, Argentina)

Se documentan los vertebrados depredados por la Lechucita Vizcachera (<i>Athene cunicularia</i>) en una localidad central de la Meseta de Somuncurá, provincia de Río Negro, Argentina. Se realizó una colecta exhaustiva de restos óseos en las inmediaciones de una cueva habitada por dos individuos. Las presas consumidas incluyeron dos especies de reptiles, una de aves y seis de mamíferos. Entre los mamíferos, mayormente roedores sigmodontinos, se destacó <i>Euneomys chinchilloides</i> por su abundancia y su aporte de biomasa.Somuncurá Plateau (Río Negro Province, Argentina) are documented. An exhaustive collection of bone remains was made in the vicinity of a burrow used by two owls. The consumed preys included two species of reptiles, one species of birds, and six species of mammals. Among mammals, mainly sigmodontine rodents, was remarkable the consumption of <i>Euneomys chinchilloides</i>, both in terms of numerical frequency and biomass
