Kisspeptina, GnRH y GABA juegan un papel fundamental en la regulación del eje gonadotrófico, si bien la interacción entre ellos está poco caracterizada. Estudios previos en ratones carentes del RGABAB funcional (GABAB1KO) sugerían alteraciones reproductivas, principalmente en la hembra. Nuestra hipótesis fue que GABA, a través de sus RGABAB, interviene en la regulación de la reproducción impactando sobre los sistemas GnRH/kisspeptina en el cerebro, durante el desarrollo y en la adultez.
