Carson Wiley and Swannie Hoehn were guests, and Marsha Salisbury was guest and chef. Lynn sits in floor by coffee table, flower in her hair, beside a huge pot of pink flowers. Shortly after the photo was taken, I, who had unrequited love for Lynn, made an ass of myself by going to the kitchen and bringing out a little something extra, a dozen long stemmed red roses, the bridge too far, the one gift over the line too many. The awkwardness dropped like an anvil into what had pleasant vibes. The discomfort eased somewhat but never quite left the party.
