Betty Furness, lovely film, stage and TV star, arrives in Los Angeles to discuss pending picture and TV deals, but mainly to rest after marathon duties at both Republican and Democratic conventions. Miss Furness was on call an average of 17 hours a day in Chicago, called on to telecast at a moment's notice. Two complete crews alternated filming her stint. She was seen according to polls by more people consecutively than any other personality in the history of the new medium. She was also undoubtedly the highest paid lady at either convention. The star will be guest of the Charles Lederers (the former Anne Shirley), during her two weeks sojourn in the Southland"
