Almost too rickety to tear down.' -- Lee Mead, president of World Wrecking Company, stood looking at the 46-year-old 'white elephant' Fashion League Building which the State of California bought for $450,000 in a deal first exposed by The Examiner. -- Workmen of Mead's company began razing the building nearly three months ago. They have until April to finish the job.
