Photograph facing north on South Hill Street at Fifth Street towards the Metroplitan Water District building (?) in Downtown Los Angeles. Pershing Square is directly to the south of the building, and the National Bank of Commerce and the Subway Terminal Building are to the north. Signs in the Water District window advertise an exhibition of the Colorado River and the making of the California Aqueduct.
