Ripon falls, Lake Victoria, Uganda, ca.1924

“The Nile below the Ripon falls.” Landscape view showing two figures standing on a slope of land down to a wide river. The falls were situated on the Victoria Nile and are now submerged. This was believed to be the source of the Nile. The image was taken during a trip from Chogoria to Uganda. ❧ This image is from the first years of the Chogoria mission in Kenya, which was run by the Rev.
