They have large baskets strapped to their backs into which tea the tea leaf is harvested. Several men stand around in the scene possibly having a supervisory role. The picture was used to illustrate a Church of Scotland Mission lecture. ❧ This image belongs to an album of mixed photographs collected by Dr. Stevenson and includes images from India, China and Africa
