"Candidates for the Ministry." Three accepted candidates for ministerial training in India. They had each spent some time as catechists in Samuel Rahator's Marathi Mission. Samuel Rahator was the son of Marathi Rajputs who had converted to Christianity. He became an ordained minister of the Methodist Church in India in 1892. His Marathi Mission eventually had 8 catechists, 6 colporteurs, 15 school teachers and 2 Bible women operating in towns and villages in Maharashtra.
