The Church and the Mission Station to the right, Ambatofinandrahana, Madagascar, 1888(?)

This picture is in a large album A215 page 9. Reg. NMS no.1817. A group of pictures mounted on black cardboard. There are also some pictures from South Africa mounted on black cardboard. These pictures were probably taken by Johan B. Smith who worked in the mission in South Africa before going to Madagascar. -- The church was built by Peder Eilert Nilsen-Lund who was a missionary in Madagascar from 1874-1897. He died in Cannes, France on November 23, 1914. He was unmarried
