"Schüler auf der Werf in Mamre. Schulpause" ("Students on the mission premises in Mamre. School break"). In the center of the picture is a road with numerous African children. At the sides of the road are some trees. Buildings of the mission station and a wood are in the background.; The word "Werf" is a term taken from Afrikaans meaning "premises" or "yard". -- The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane
