Four missionary fathers in a small canoe-like boat turn for a photograph as they set out across a wide, marshy body of water. Another boat, empty and longer, floats beside them. On the opposite shore in the distance a large building is visible among the trees.; The back of the postcard is blank and contains a printed title "25. - MADAGASCAR. - Mgr de Saune (a l'avant de la barque) allant visiter un village" ("Mgr de Saune, in the front of the boat, goes to visit a village").
