Chapel, Arusha, Tanzania, ca.1910-1914

"Alte Kapelle in Arusha" ("Old chapel in Arusha"). Building with loamed walls and thatched roof. In front of it missionary Blumer and three dogs. Inside the chapel in the window frames the rest of the Blumer family. On the left side in front of another building a group of African people.; Cf. photo no. 190, album no. 19. -- Leonhard Blumer (1878-1938), from Kida in Estonia, served the Leipzig Mission as pastor and teacher in Arusha from 1907 to 1930 (apart from home leave in 1912-1913 and 1924-1926)
