Photograph of two date palms on the north side of the north adobe wall at Mission San Fernando, ca.1926. The two trees are at center and are tall and narrow with large bunches of fronds at the top. The tree at right is straighter and slightly taller, while the one on the left is gently curved near the base of its trunk. The remains of the thick adobe wall can be seen both right and left of the trees and the bare adobe bricks look worn. There is a large flat plain in the background, occupied by a small copse of trees at left. In the distance is a low mountain range. The foreground is full of small bushes
