The buildings were located at the corner of Temple Street and Broadway in the Civic Center of Downtown Los Angeles. A four-story building with vines growing up the sides and a small tower on top can be seen at left. It is connected to a taller building at right at the second, third, and fourth stories. Stairs lead up to the building from the street lined with automobiles in the foreground. Bushes form the word "[...]ouse" on a grass lawn to the left of the stairs. Palm trees and light posts are also visible
