Abstract

Photograph of the exterior view of Hotel del Portal in the Yosemite Valley, Mariposa County, California, ca.1900-1940. Located near the base of a mountain, the hotel stands about five-stories tall. The first building features four dormer windows protruding from the roof and a balustraded walkway midway up from the ground floor. The building behind it features a similar roof structure except with three dormer windows. Trees cover the mountain behind the hotel. Trees and bushes cover the hilly area in the foreground
