Abstract

Photograph of the exterior of the east front of the Hotel del Coronado, ca.1888. The front of a four to five-story expansive building is visible at center at an angle. The building has an inclined roof and a tower. At left the building is a rounded shape and contains a second tower on top. Balconies extend the length of the building, while two staircases at center lead to a covered porch. Three blankets are visible thrown over the side of a fence at right. A road runs in front of the building, while a circular patch of grass is visible at left in front of the building. A horse-drawn carriage is visible in front of the building.
