Abstract

Stereo photograph of a view of the corner of New High Street and Temple Street in Los Angeles, ca.1930. The flat-roofed Dante Hotel building (it was located at 327 New High Street) with three stories can be seen in the foreground at right. Two low brick buildings which were used as a Post Office storage can be seen at center with several archways cut into its long façade. On the north-west corner with Temple Street, the O.W. Childs Block (1887 - circa 1931) with a spire-topped dome is visible. In the background, at center, the County Hall of Records (1911-1976) can be seen. Several early-model automobiles line the street at center. Legible signs include, from left to right, "Furnished Rooms", "Rooms 327 Cuartos", and "Rest[aurant]"
