The building on the corner at left has two stories, while the next three buildings to the right have three. The top of the International Savings and Exchange Bank Building (1905-1955) is visible behind these buildings; it was located on Temple Street, between Spring and Main Streets and was the only older building left standing within the new City Hall block. All of the buildings visible have flat roofs and many tall, narrow windows. Most of the buildings are filled with shops, and several awnings advertising these shops project over the sidewalk from the first story.
