Small concession stands are pictured at the left with signs reading "Last Chance Lunch Counter", "Clam Chowder / Fish", and "Try our Sweet Pop Corn Balls / Fresh Every Five Minues", as well as a partially legible sign boasting "Cigar". At the end of the boards on the pier a small building is situated with what appears to be a stuffed camel on its roof. The gothic clock tower of the First National Bank can be seen surrounded by highrises sporting other signs which read "The Norwood / Furnished Rooms", "Bruce's Corner Post C / Office BAY CITY / W.L. Dinsmoor. / Hazelwood [...] Bros.", "The Butler / Furnished Rooms", "Long Beach Reality Co.", "The National Bank" and banner strung across the street in the distance reading "[...]dville Tabernacle"
