In the foreground are several unsaddled horses among the bushes and small trees of the hilly terrain. A collapsing longhouse or barn, with a thatched roof, is visible at left. The mission, in the background, is distinguished by two tall bell towers flanking the main portico, a long low building with a series of arches supporting a tile roof over an exterior corridor extending from its left side. Small groups of people are visible here and there in the area in front of the mission. Low hills rise in the distance at left.
