Elders with dementia often do not have their spiritual and religious needs met due to a lack of understanding of the meaning of spirituality and religion in the elder\u27s life. In order for nurses to adequately meet the spiritual and religious needs of the increasing population of elders with dementia, knowledge of the meaning of spirituality and religion is vital. This study describes the meaning of spirituality and religion in elders with dementia.
