Fertilizers composed of several nutrient elements were supplied to gladiolus at its different growing seasons to prove the importance of potassium very abundantly contained in the plant as the authors have reported. With corms of 2.5cm. in diameter planted in the soil in which nutrients were scarecely contained, flower production was not affected regardless of whether the fertilizer was supplied or not. This result agrees with the authors' previous experiment, and shows that a normal size corm does not require any fertilizer for flower production.
