THE IMPACT OF ITALIAN RYEGRASS VARIETIES ON THE DRYING RATE OF FORAGE

S ciljem ugotoviti vpliv sorte mnogocvetne ljuljke na hitrost sušenja krme smo v laboratoriju Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede v letu 2013 izvedli poskus v sušilni komori. V raziskavo smo vključili 5 sort mnogocvetne ljuljke (Lolium Multiflorum Lam.): Mendoza (2n), Melmondo (4n), Melword (2n), KPC Laška (4n) ter Kis Draga (2n). Meritve s tehtanjem smo opravljali v časovnem intervalu ene ure. Statistično značilno smo ugotovili največji padec sušine pri sorti KPC Laška, najmanjši pa pri sorti Melmondo. Spremljali smo tudi olistanost posameznih sort in ugotovili, da je izmed vključenih najbolj listnata sorta Melword, najmanj pa Melmondo. Iz dobljenih rezultatov lahko sklepamo, da imajo posamezne sorte vpliv na hitrost sušenja krme.In 2013 we performed an experiment in a drying chamber in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences with the aim to determine the impact of Italian ryegrass varieties on the drying rate of forage. The study included five varieties of Italian ryegrass (Lolium Multiflorum Lam.): Mendoza (2n), Melmondo (4n), Melword (2n), KPC Laška (4n) and Kis Draga (2n). The measurements of weighing were carried out over a time interval of one hour. Statistically significant, we found the highest drop in dry matter varieties KPC Laška and the lowest in Melmondo. We also monitored which of the varieties was most intensely in leaf and found the most leafy one being Melword and the least leafy one being Melmondo.
