V novembru 2012 smo v občini Lenart z okolico opravili raziskavo o vedenju potrošnikov in odločilnih dejavnikih, ki vplivajo na nakup mesa (perutnine, svinjine in govedine). Raziskavo smo izvedli z uporabo anketnih vprašalnikov, ki so jih sestavljala vprašanja odprtega in zaprtega tipa. Uporabili smo vzorec 200 naključno anketiranih oseb. Anketni vprašalnik je bil sestavljen iz dveh delovvprašanj s socialno demografskimi spremenljivkami in vprašanj, ki so se nanašala na nakupne navade in dejavnike, ki vplivajo na nakup posamezne vrste mesa. Ugotovili smo, da ima največ anketirancev najraje perutnino (54 %). To kupuje kar 77 % anketirancev vsaj enkrat na teden.
