Mehanske napetosti, pri katerih izdelki iz keramike počijo, so odvisne od naključne razporeditve napak v materialu. Izmerjene zlomne napetosti ali trdnosti vzorcev pri večjem številu vzorcev so v večini primerov razporejene po dvoparametrični Weibullovi porazdelitvi. Skalni parameter σ0 porazdelitve je v zvezi s povprečno trdnostjo, Weibullov modul m pa je mera za širino porazdelitve. Podatka sta pomembna za raziskave novih materialov in kontrolo kakovosti v proizvodnji. V diplomskem delu preučujem metode za določanje vrednosti Weibullovih parametrov iz niza meritev.
