Examining the Effects of User Participation on Information

[[abstract]]The development of information system has become a strategic part of organizational planning and operation. The importance of information system development requires the involvement of all personnel from different levels in an organization. In subsequence, the current research investigates the effects of user participation on the development of information system and job satisfaction. A path analysis model was established to examine the interrelations among the defined variables. Research results indicate that (1) during the development of information system, the more the user participation, the higher the quality of system; (2) the higher the quality of a system, the higher the quality of information; (3) the higher the quality of a system, the higher the satisfaction on an information system; (4) the higher the information quality, the higher the satisfaction on an information system; (5) the higher the quality of information, the higher the job satisfaction, and (6) the higher the satisfaction on an information system, the higher the job satisfaction.
