Implementing a Textbook Management System by Using RFID - a Case Study of a Local Cram School

[[abstract]]ABSTRACT The number of cram schools has exceeded the number of traditional schools in Taiwan. No matter whether the cram schools are English tutoring, teaching schedule tutoring of elementary or high schools, even public officers exam crams, they are already living among us and can be always seen. However, nowadays more artistic dining cram classes appear, and each cram will have a demand for property management, so this paper based on the general teaching cram for elementary and high schools as examples propose a management system for a tutorial aids, books, and equipment. However, in order to meet the existing property management and use scheduling, cram schools have to evolve from the early paper registration mode into a system management to save on labor costs and the use of paper. The cram, by using characteristic of RFID technology, allows administrators more easily to manage the equipment, because managers can expect the system will get more convenience, and reduce processing cumbersome and time of equipment and books. In this paper, RFID features combined with the SQL database can be used to plan a tutorial aids management processes, Since RFID tags can be read or written immediately, they can be used to carry inventory and management of crams. Through the SQL database and the management system, it can view users’ borrowing status and equipment usage years, so you can make tutorial managers save time to achieve the management purpose of teaching aids and equipment and books.
