[[abstract]]The block transmission scheme is a widely adopted technique in modern wireless communication systems. From the perspective of theoretical results and hardware implementations, a communication system can achieve an improved performance when the block-by-block transmission scheme is used and the channel state information is utilized efficiently in its transceiver design. For a block transmission system using zero-forcing equalization, this thesis investigates the performance of a jointly optimized linear transceiver design with block delay detection.
