[[abstract]]Tuberculosis is one of the most serious infectious diseases in Taiwan. There are nearly twelve thousand new cases annually. Ever since we conduct Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course, which the DOTS caring staff deliver drugs in person at least five days a week, the cure rate increase significantly and the death rate decrease year by year. The result shows that conducting Directly Observed Treatment Short-Course does help controling tuberculosis.
