[[abstract]]The aim of this study is to investigate the behavior of smartphone usage for elementary school students with different backgrounds and to explore the relationships between the parental rearing style and the healthy concept of students. A questionnaire was employed in this study by randomly sampling and surveying of 225 students, who are from the middle to high graders of an elementary school in Fong Yuan district, Taichung city. The data was collected from the valid 215 questionnaires at the effective response rates reached 95.6% of 225 copies and was then analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient using statistics software SPSS based on the assumption of the objectives of the study.
