The Design of Thermal Stimulator for dermal thermotherapy

[[abstract]]Thermal therapy is one kind of physiotherapy. It often used to treatment for limbic sensory and motor functions recovering on stroke patients, and also has the significant effect for pain releasing and reducing the swelling. In this study, we design a new thermal stimulation device with thermal pie and embedded system. In this system, a user friendly control panel was designed by LabVIEW, and the embedded system which use to measure and control temperature was developed with Arduino environment. Between PC and embedded system, we used the Universal Serial Bus (USB) as the communication interface. I In order to verify the performance of the temperature control, we set five different temperature testing condition: 25,30,35,40 and 45˚C, etc. As the results, even though the environment was in different room temperature, this system with proper parameters setting and circuits routing can achieve the object temperature, and time spends less than one minute
