地方運動賽事風險管理之研究 - 以籃球賽事為例 論文名稱(外文): The Study on Risk Management of Local Sporting Events — Using Basketball Events as Examples

[[abstract]]Compared to before, people pay more attention to leisure sport activities. Many sporting events correspondently are held. However, due to lack of resources and experiences, many events are exposed in the risk. The purposes of this study are to investigate the status of risk management in local sporting events, and to examine the sources of risk and its impacts, hopefully providing useful information for events holders and event participants. The research methods included literature review, depth interviews, and field observation in local sporting events to explore potential factors causing accidents or risk and to explore the current weak aspects of risk management. Results showed that the risk of local sporting events had three main areas: 1. Equipment risk, 2 personnel risk, and 3 liability risk. Further, this study found: 1. Current local sporting events did not execute risk management; 2. the holders lacked of professional knowledge and experiences in risk management; 3. organizers and participants were unaware of risk; 4 existing regulation about risk management is abscent; 5. standard facilities for local sporting events are abscent. Thus, as an initial step, this study proposes "a local sporting events risk management checklist" for stakeholders of local sporting events as a reference to conduct risk management
