[[abstract]]Background and Objective: Aggressive behavior is an important clinical hazard in psychiatric nursing care. Repeated aggressive behaviors increased care burden of caregivers. In this study, we investigated the prevalence of aggressive behavior, the factors that influenced the repeated aggressive behaviors and how to prevent from the aggressive behavior in a psychiatric hospital.Methods: In this study, the information originated from the safety committee database 2009-2011 in a psychiatric hospital. The inclusion criteria was inpatients who had physical aggressive behaviors. The exclusion criteria was verbal aggressive or sexual assault.
