[[abstract]]The adsorption capacity of Methylene blue from aqueous solution onto activated carbon prepared from Delonix regia pods (Flame tree pods) was investigated under various experimental conditions. Batch mode experiments were conducted to assess the potential of the above activated carbon for the removal of Methylene blue from aqueous solution. Equilibrium isotherm studies have been done by varying the following three parameters: initial concentration of Methylene blue dye solution, volume of the dye solution, and adsorbent dose on the uptake of dye from the solution.
