A Study on the Risk Factors of Suicide

[[abstract]]Purpose: The Aim of this research was to study the risk factors of suicide death in Changhua county. Method: This is a cross section study. The study population was consisted of subjects whose suicidal attempt of living in Changhua county and suicide behavior takes place between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2006(n =910). We analyze the relevant indicators of suicide attempters such as the demographic characteristic, health status, medical resource and socioeconomic indicators of the case?s residence region,reporting unit and time, such factors and suicidal result go on with descriptive statistics and Logistic regression analysis. Result: 910 cases are included in the study, result of Logistic regression analysis to find , man, over 45 year olds, persons who there was psychiatric history or not quite clear, the reporting unit beyond the hospital, suicide behavior was reported by takes place over 6 days and regional indicators to include high density of population (1320 people /km2), low rate of chronic psychiatric population (<3.4?), the medical families numbers are few (<6 families / 104 people) , low rate of divorce(<1.8?), high rate of illiteracy (?7%), average population numbers in the family are few (
