A characteristic feature of the postwar period has been the rapid development of so-called Sovietology. Its representatives proclaim the creation of their own (bourgeois, of course) science on socialist society in the USSR and in other socialist countries. A considerable number of them are economists who claim to have elaborated a theory on the "Soviet-type socialist economy." Sovietologist-economists are publishing a large number of works on specific problems in a socialist economy.
