This study examines how the value of information is measured and its role in precision farming. Two types of precision farming are discussed regarding information in use and ways of information collection. Analytical equations have been derived to link the estimation of the value of information to limited parameters available.Farm Management, Research and Development/Tech Change/Emerging Technologies,
