Author's full name: Jean Louis Charles Garnier.Text volume 2 includes index.The text and the two atlases of engraved plates were issued in parts. The two plate volumes have title pages dated 1880.The atlases have title pages printed in red and black, and half title pages printed in red reading: Monographie du nouvel Opéra de Paris. Each voume has "Table des planches" indicating that folded leaves of plates in volume 1 bear 2 numbers and colored plates (chromolithographs) on single leaves in volume 2 bear 2 numbers. Plates were drawn and engraved after Garnier by various artists. Plate volume 1 includes frontispiece portrait of Charles Garnier engraved by M. Deveaux after a painting by P.
