1893 Photograph of Michigan Central Railroad Depot in Ypsilanti's Depot Town on the northwest corner of Cross and River Streets. This three story brick structure with tower was built in 1864 in the Gothic Revival style with touches of Itialianate ornamentation. The second and third floors were living quarters for the station master. It served a bustling railroad business between Detroit and Chicago and was one of the finest depots on the line. A fire on the morning of May 28, 1910 destroyed most of the building and only the first floor was rebuilt
