Haydn Haus–While Haydn was music director at Esterházy Castle he bought a home in Eisenstadt where he lived for 12 years. It is now a beautifully preserved museum. It contains the 1797 "New Haydn-Organ" from the Eisenstadt Mountain Church, built by Gottfried Malleck. The organ was played by Haydn, Hummel, and Beethoven. In 1807 it was used for the premiere of Haydn’s C Major Mass. The organ has holes below the lower keyboard for attaching an earphone for use by Beethoven when he was nearly deaf
