• [Statewide]• Total deaths in Minnesota last year numbered 31,169 and of that total 7,392 or nearly one out of four were from influenza complications• Reports indicate, however, that the influenza epidemic has almost subsided• Of 2,951 deaths during January, 1,175 were charged to influenza and pneumonia and in February the two diseases claimed 555 out of 3,139 lives• Leading other months, the November report showed 5,030 deaths, of which 3,394 were caused by influenza and pneumonia • Figures were compiled under the direction of Gerda C.
