Health Regulations to Be Observed

• A public service announcement from Sharpley, Kennedy, and Mills• States that the death rate from influenza in Denver has been such as to require preventive measures, and that one of the measures recommended by the Medical Advisory Board was masks• The board of health desires to enforce the regulation as much as possible to make it effective with as little inconvenience to the public as possible• Therefore, for the next few days and until modified, the order is as follows:• All persons meeting the general public (such as streetcar conductors, ushers, store employees, etc.) must wear masks while on duty• Persons congregating in pool halls and places of amusement must wear masks• Bank employees who come into contact with the public must wear masks• People on streetcars are strongly urged to wear them• The non-crowding rule on streetcars rule (no more than 65 passengers) will be rigidly enforced• Penalty for violation of this order is a fine of $10 to $200, but it is hoped that the community will complyNewspaper article
