Hurry Call Is Issued For Influenza Masks

• Camp Zachary Taylor and other influenza-stricken parts of KY have requested face masks from the Red Cross. • A call was issued this morning for women to help make the masks. With about 200 women, working for 2 weeks straight, it is expected that the orders will be filled. • The need is so great that the Red Cross’s Speed building will open at night to allow workers occupied during the day to make masks. Women and girls who work during the day are urged to give 2 or 3 hours to the effort.Newspaper article
