Glasse's landmark cookbook is in an attractive 18th century style biding. This edition, unlike some of its predecessors, proudly bears Mrs. Glasse's name on its title page as well as her fascimile signature in the headpiece of the first chapter. The present copy is printed on very pale blue-tinted paper (the tint standsout in sunlight). The printer produced only a few such copies. The last twelve pages in this one (a list of new books printed for H.D. Symonds) are printed on white paper.
