The development of a computer program is reported for extracting features from remotely sensed data presented in digital image form. This computer program requires no human supervision or prejudgment and operates unassisted on the raw digital data. A condensed general background is included on remote sensing of earth features and a short synopsis on some of the most commonly used types of feature extraction techniques.
